What is cuter than a little child? It is so much fun to watch as they learn to walk and talk. Unfortunately, along with the ‘cute’ toddler stage comes the horrible temper tantrums! Suddenly, you start to wonder why you ever wanted to be a parent to begin with!

Of course you love your kids, and you should be able to love all of the stages of growth that they develop into. Toddlers are adorable little people and every parent wants nothing more than to enjoy their child at this adorable stage. As soon as they start talking, however, they also start arguing with you! Then you start questioning your parenting skills! Who needs stress like that?

Luckily, a new program has been developed by an experienced dad that will teach you how to deal with little kids. Talking To Toddlers: Dealing With The Terrible Twos and Beyond is a wonderful audio program that will help you to understand why your child acts the way he does and how to handle it. Best of all, this video will show you how to handle your children and regain control of your household, all without your kids even knowing what you are doing!

You will see:

*Your toddler going along with requests more easily

*Your toddler becoming a more flexible thinker

*Your toddler handling rejection more easily

*Yourself in a more positive state of mind (EVERY parent needs this!)

Learn these strategies and enjoy your kids again! Regain control of your household, stop yelling at your kids (it doesn’t do any good anyhow!) and learn how to deal with them in a POSITIVE way! Best of all, these strategies will form a good foundation for the later years. FEEL like the good parent that you already are!

About the Author:

For various reasons, mothers are choosing to stay at home, becoming known as WAHMs (work-at-home moms) or mompreneurs. According to a July 17, 2005 article in USA Today, the statistics of WAHMs is unknown, but there are more than 10 million female owned businesses in this country and this number is growing. With online technology, the possibilities are practically limitless.

So…you’re interested in starting a business or at least generating some income, but, where in the world do you start? That’s a great question & I’m glad you asked it. I will be approaching from different aspects, i.e. avoiding scams, generating ideas, existing (and legitimate) online and offline business opportunities and anything else I can think of or that you have questions about. Let’s get started.

Assignment One: List five reasons why you want your own business or want to work from home.

Assignment Two: Make a list of five pros and five cons to having your own business or working from home. Now, let’s talk about you. After all, you’re the one who will be doing the work and while any work contains aspects that are less than inspiring, it’s important to find something that you like to do. So, what kind of person are you anyhow?

Here’s some questions to get you thinking

* Are you a people person, someone who comes alive and thrives when around people. Do you need or crave social interaction? Do you like being the center of attention?

* Are you a real homebody, someone who is content to just be at home and for the most part couldn’t care less about going anywhere?

* How would you describe yourself: outgoing, shy, drama queen, talkative, quiet, etc?

* Do you find it easy or difficult to talk with people, especially people you don’t know?

* Are you a morning person, night-owl or somewhere in-between?

* How much time do you have to devote to a business?

* How supportive is your family? Are others in the family willing/able to chip in and do some of the tasks that fall on you in order to free up some of your time?

* When interrupted while working on a project, can you easily resume where you left off or does it take you awhile to build the momentum back up?

* Are you patient or impatient?

* Do you enjoy creating things?

* Do you enjoy routine or do you need change?

* Do you enjoy working on and learning more about the computer or does it frustrate you to no end?

* Are you a salesperson or would you rather eat worms than try to sell something?

* Do you like figuring out how to do something or would you rather just have someone show you or just do it for you?

With your answers in mind, consider the following:

* Do you think you’d be happy running a strictly online business?

* Do you think you’d rather work at something that provides actual people-to-people contact?

* Would you enjoy retail work, on and/or offline, if you found a product(s) that you really believed in?

* Or would you prefer offering a service?

Homework : Make a list of 10 items that you enjoy, interest you, and/or you are good at. This list can be anything from crafts to organizing to cleaning to reading to cake decorating to writing….anything! After you’ve made your list, ask several people who know you well, your spouse, mom, friend, what things they would put on your list. If they mention anything, add it on. Now, put your list away for a day or two. After a few days, look it over again and circle the three top items on your list.

That’s enough for now. Next time, we’ll look at list of potential business ideas to keep those creative juices flowing! Questions? Comments?

When not busy writing and learning about home-based businesses, you’re sure to find me busy at my newest website, Down Comforter Sets.
placecard holders

Mother’s Day is approaching and you want to do something special for your wife. You know flowers and a meal at a nice restaurant are always welcome, but what else can you do to show your appreciation? Here are ten unique gift ideas to say “I love you” to your wife, most of which are absolutely free!

1. See all that laundry piled up in the basket? Surprise your spouse by doing the laundry and putting it away. Remember to separate the darks and maybe even set the washer’s setting to gentle to avoid ruining her favorite shirt.

2. If your wife works outside the home, send a love note to her office on Friday before Mother’s Day. Tell her how much you appreciate her hard work in caring for you and the children. Praise her for specific ways she mothers your children with patience, wisdom, a sense of humor, etc.

3. Instead of avoiding a ***** flick like the plague, go ahead and rent one you think your wife would enjoy. Send your wife an invitation to a movie night. Light candles, make popcorn, and snuggle up under a blanket while you watch.

4. Offer a half day where you will do anything she wants. Whether she asks you to plant flowers, clean your tool bench, go shopping with her or whatever, you’ll do it gladly! She’ll love having you complete some items on the “honey do” list.

5. Turn your bedroom into a day spa. Draw a hot bath for your wife, complete with mountain high bubbles, candles and relaxing music. Then give her a Mother’s Day massage. While you’re rubbing her shoulders and back, tell her how much you appreciate all the things she does for your family.

6. Wash her car and vacuum the inside. Whether you have this done at a car wash or do it yourself, she’ll appreciate driving a clean vehicle.

7. Give her a gift certificate to one of her favorite clothing stores. Take her out on a date and choose an outfit together.

8. If your children are grown and out of the house, plan something special with them. Maybe this is the Mother’s Day for all the children to travel home to surprise mom. Or everyone can plan to call at a certain time, or send letters of appreciation that you can put in a folder for your wife.

9. Have a maid service clean the house so the house will be sparkling for Mother’s Day without your wife lifting a finger.

10. Take care of the kids for the afternoon and tell your wife to do whatever she would like. Get caught up on scrapbooking, read a book, go to the store alone, watch a movie, have coffee with her girlfriend, whatever would re-charge her battery!

The key is finding something your wife would enjoy. She’ll be touched by your kind efforts to show your appreciation, reduce her stress level, and help in getting the household chores done. This will be a Mother’s Day to remember!

wahm

Moms… turn your passions into profits.

* Do you have a dream or a passion you’ve put on hold, slowly simmering away on your back burner?

* Do you want the best of both worlds, be at home with the kids and run a profitable business contributing income to the household?

Not long ago I was in your shoes. I retired from teaching to commit to the most important full-time job of all, being a mom, but I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit in me waiting to explode out. The time was right and I launched an online business, enabling me to stay home with my two children.

When women become moms, their passions, creativity and talent don’t disappear; they just get placed on hold for a while. Soon, many moms find a desire to express themselves in other ways. They have this “There’s got to be more” feeling. Perhaps it is a hobby you enjoy, music, art sports, etc. Do you say “When the kids are in school then I’ll start…?” Finish the sentence and you have your online marketing idea.

The mom marketing opportunity is tremendous.

* Greater than 30 million moms are online

* There are 8 million women owned business generating more that 2 trillion dollars in sales per year

* Women start businesses 2 times faster than men with a longer survival rate

The time will never be better to start an online business. Good news… it’s not as hard as you think to join the growing sorority of work-at-home-moms (WAHM). So, what do you have to do?

After you have identified your passion you must research any competition and see if it is a viable business idea. Go to a few websites and get a feel for what each site offers. If there is NO competition, you may need to rethink your idea as there may not truly be a market for you.

1. Write a business plan. What kind of business is it? Give a detailed description of the business and its goals. Identify your target market. Describe your marketing strategy. Explain financial operations.

2. Organize. How much time will you invest each week? Schedule it. Write down daily, weekly and monthly business goals. Maintain your own office space.

3. Branding. Make your business name something you love and easy to spell. Come up with a tagline/logo. This is how the public recognizes you.

4. Website-Domain name must be easy to spell and remember. Make sure it is available. Your website design must be easy to navigate and easy on the eyes.

5. Marketing- This will make or break your business. Get the word out. Network. Advertise. Word of mouth. Buy a good marketing book.

6. Knowing it all – you don’t and you never will. Just do it anyway. Ask for help. Most mompreneurs are more than willing to help.

There are challenges, of course.

* As every mom knows it’s hard fitting 25 hours into a 24 hour day. The number one challenge is finding the time to wear 3 hats every day; mom, wife and mompreneur. Block out your time, make it work and you’ll be glad you did.

* Rest. Moms don’t need rest… at least that’s what the world seems to think. But you do. Don’t stay up late every night. Get your sleep; otherwise your family life will suffer.

* There is an initial financial impact, especially at start-up. Expenses add up fast. Make sure this business is a family decision and the costs are discussed upfront

* Time with your husband. Don’t forget him. His support is essential. Now and then surprise him with a secluded retreat with just the two of you, no kids, and no business, just romance.

Moms don’t have to sacrifice their family life to pursue their dreams anymore. This investment in time now will deliver tremendous benefits to you and your family down the road. Imagine the possibilities. In a few short weeks you can be on your way to the fulfilling life of being an online mompreneur.
travelocity coupons

A lot of people think it’s necessary to spend a fortune if they want to update their bathroom sink cabinets. While this is certainly possible, it doesn’t take a home equity loan to update bathroom cabinets. In fact, anyone with an ability to cut wood and finish it will find it’s more than possible to make some incredible looking cabinets all on their own.

Before endeavoring to create new bathroom sink cabinets, it’s a good idea to do some research and planning. Some of the things to consider include:

* Design. The desired design and style of the bathroom sink cabinets will need to be determined in advance. It’s possible to make wonderful cabinets at home, but unless there’s an idea on the type of cabinet wanted, finding plans or making them yourself will be impossible. Whether it’s a straight cabinet with only cupboard doors or one that has drawers in the mix, too, will determine the drawings. So, too, will the type of sink that desired for the inset and the measurements.

* Materials. Before creating a plan, understanding the kind of materials desired is also vital. Many bathroom cabinets are made from particle board and veneer, but those who design their own opt for heavily stained and sealed wood in most cases. While the particle board works, the solid wood designs tend to look a whole lot better. They don’t have to cost a fortune either. Everything from pine and oak to maple and cherry can work well in a bathroom. The type of wood will often dictate the pricing though.

* Space. The size of the intended cabinets will be very important to have in order before attempting anything. It’s not even really possible to buy materials without having the dimensions worked out. The depth, height and width will need to be precise.

* Sink considerations. The type of sink and the style of fixtures won’t impact the actual cabinet’s design, but they might alter storage capacity. With this in mind, a large sink on a small cabinet might need to have drawers to better hold items.

* Countertop consideration. While it’s very possible for crafty people to create and build their own bathroom sink cabinets, the countertops likely will need to be ordered. Once a drawing and dimensions are in place, this can typically be achieved.

After all the major considerations have been worked out, it can be possible to find pre-drawn plans that will map out everything needed and every step of building new cabinets. These can be found online and even in wood crafting books.

For those who don’t want to go through the trouble of building, there are some great bathroom sink cabinet designs pre-made and even those that can be custom ordered. Most of the above considerations will still come into play.

Updating bathroom sink cabinets can be a great choice for giving a bathroom a whole new look and feel. Whether a person does the job themselves or they buy cabinets, there are some great money saving buys to be had.

mom rox

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year, and we’re very serious. We’ve even been discussing the possibility of marriage. When we first starting dating (after the fourth date), I went to Europe on Spring Break with my girlfriends. I ended hooking up with some guys, but never having ***. We had been seeing eachother once every week and I didn’t feel that attached to him at that point. I never told him, but recently he asked me, and I lied and said no. I’ve never lied to him about anything else. Should I come clean now?
glass wedding favors
